Stay-at-Home Mom Turned Business Woman
Kristi Mabry opened Talloni, an upscale shoe salon, in Downtown Greer almost four years ago. After her two daughters were grown, Kristi traded in full time motherhood for entrepreneurship. The deep down desire to be her own boss, combined with her volunteer work, her talent as a multi-tasker and the financial experience her husband passed down to her was all she needed to branch out on her own. footwear to begin with, but after researching the area, she realized it was something the women of Greer and the surrounding areas needed. After all, who doesn’t need a great pair of shoes? Her timing was perfect. Greer was beginning its first stages of revitalization as she moved in, and it has kept growing since.
Kristi feels that women often underestimate their own business abilities. “If you can endure raising children, you certainly can handle the needs of those who walk through your door.” This comes from a woman who treats each customer as family and spends time making personal phone call to hard-to-fit customers when a product comes in that will work for them. Her innate fashion perspective and understanding for what women want make her a successful sales person. Match that with her creativity, enthusiasm and infectious smile, there is a reason every woman loves shopping at Talloni.
Talloni sold its first franchise in Ashville, NC in the Biltmore Estates two years ago. The store has been a huge success. For more information about franchising, call Kristi Mabry at 864-801-1880.
